XCM core cooler v.2 also can be used with XCM High Speed air cooler (more efficiency and powerful) or independently, unlike another brand of external fan,external Xbox 360 fan can only cool the temperature of the Xbox 360's outer surface but does not cool the temperature of the CPU/GPU; therefore, making them useless to combat CPU/GPU overheating. XCM 360 core cooler directly cools down the temperature from the core (CPU and GPU) of 360 console. NOTE: This is a CASE MOD Product. It requires you to open your xbox 360 console. If you feel uncomfortable, do not buy this item.

This review is from: XCM CORE COOLER V2 - GREEN (Video Game) Bought these fans instead of adding more green LED lights to my case. I figured it would add some extra light while also helping move air. With Xbox 360's famous overheating problems in mind, I justified the cost of these and gave them a try.
While they DID add extra light and looked great in my case (I'll add a picture) from the very beginning they were noisy and after about 3 months of use one fan was quickly losing life. But, and i know this is a common problem.. everytime i start my console up wether it is hot or cold one fan makes a horrible noise and takes time to warm up. I know a quick fix maybe, put more grease in the bearings or whatnot. Its just i dont want to break back into my 360 right now to do this.(just got clear case and fans and all that) but overall i do love it, just give it a good smack and shes quiet again,.. just annoying thats all |
