This review is from: XCM CORE COOLER V2 - GREEN (Video Game) Bought these fans instead of adding more green LED lights to my case. I figured it would add some extra light while also helping move air. With Xbox 360's famous overheating problems in mind, I justified the cost of these and gave them a try.
While they DID add extra light and looked great in my case (I'll add a picture) from the very beginning they were noisy and after about 3 months of use one fan was quickly losing life. This became such an annoyance to me that I pulled both fans out and they have sat in a box full of computer parts since then. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: = Fun: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: XCM CORE COOLER V2 - GREEN (Video Game) I had these for about 3 months before one of the fans slowed down, then the other and then they just stopped spinning all together. I ended up removing both fans and just using them for the Green LED lights. In that respect, they are pretty awesome. They are pretty bright and with my case mods they really shine through. But for cooling, they suck...lol 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: = Fun: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: XCM CORE COOLER V2 - GREEN (Video Game) This is a great feature, especially if you have the clear case. And it does help keep my core cool and hot air out.
But, and i know this is a common problem.. everytime i start my console up wether it is hot or cold one fan makes a horrible noise and takes time to warm up. I know a quick fix maybe, put more grease in the bearings or whatnot. Its just i dont want to break back into my 360 right now to do this.(just got clear case and fans and all that) but overall i do love it, just give it a good smack and shes quiet again,.. just annoying thats all |
