Not only does this fix the 3 rrod, but it fixes the 2 rrod problem also! I had the 2 rrod problem, and i tried every method except the towel or anything that could destroy it, and none of it worked. New thermal paste, taking the x clamps off, i tried everything, finally i got some money to buy these, and it fixed it right away! I was so happy. My xbox was already out of warranty, so i couldn't get it fixed, and it has already been modded, so microsoft would know it has already been opened, so we couldn't just get it fixed, I had to buy these, and Im glad I did. You could pay $130 for microsoft to fix it, or you could buy these and have it be immune to the 3 rrod and 2 rrod!

The fans are easy to install and the fans stay in place. However, recently one of the fans started making loud vibrating noises. Usually a good smack to the case made it run fine, but it just started getting worse. I checked to see what the problem was and it turned out the first connected fan was vibrating up against the main heatsink. I can't think of a single thing to do to stop this from happening. Any suggestions would be great. Other than that the fans keep my Xbox 360 cool and beautiful.

Even if you keep the old plain white case this is a must. You can feel the air flowing in from the sides and bottom. The fans are quite quiet and very effective. You can feel the heat flowing from the back. Believe it or not that's a good sign.
