I understand the need to have a product like this to be "flexible" as there are many different versions of xBox and to also make it as idiot proof as possible so the inexperienced don't break of a corner of their GPU.

So to tackle these problems, this kit provides a lot of washers that can be used to ensure the proper height of the heat sink based on the shape of the case and the CPU and GPU. However, this made it tricky in trying to install the heat sinks as every time I flipped it over the washers would slide out. I finally put a little glue on them to hold them in place and then it was a breeze to finish.

The Silver 5 compound is great. I don't think the procedures to purposely overheat the xBox are necessary to get the compound to melt and improve heat transfer. It works well without that procedure.

I had the general E20 failure code, and I used the parts in this kit with success. Very happy to have the xbox working again.

I bought this kit to bring my xbox 360 back to life after suffering 3 rings of death. Everything was included that is pictures. I ran into some questions and followed the link provided in the receipt to the homepage of XBRdepot and was not able to find the instructions. I then sent a email to this company and waited over 1 week for a reply. I ended installing it how I thought was the correct way with some doubts. Xbox 360 worded for about 2 weeks and died again. I just gave up and bought a newer model.
