Summary: One person's trash... 2010-04-27
Comment: I can't believe it! I happened across one of these at a "Savers" thrift store today for $3.99. Didn't even know about these. Assumed it would just work for the original xbox but figured "what the heck. For that kind of money, why not try it out?" Got home, plugged it in, connected it to my xbox 360, went to the network settings, put in my Router's information (fortunately I'm WEP), and BINGO! it worked. The best thing is that the network test result told me my Router's NAT settings were not optimized for gaming (something that my wired network test never caught), so I opened up my NAT settings for xbox and I am styling. Unbelieveable!

Summary: Works .... Sometimes 2009-08-12
Comment: I've had one of these adapters before, and after changing the security settings on my wireless network, it worked fine without a hitch. When that one finally went belly up, I did not hesitate get another of the same type because the first one had worked so well, and why spend the extra money. Right? The second one has been a big ole pain in the rear from the get go. It took me two days to get it up and running the first time, absolutely would NOT recognize wireless network, unplugged/replugged, reset, rebooted a zillion times ... nada. I spent hours reading user forums, and finally tried someone's suggestion to connect it directly to wireless router from which it "read" the network configuration, reconnected to XBox and got it working. For a couple of days. Then lost connection and had to start all over, had to manually enter network settings, got it going again. For a couple of days. This scenario has recurred about four times in the past three weeks. Today absolutely nothing worked, including the connecting to wireless router that had worked before. At that point, I did the only thing left to do. I took it out on the back porch and beat it with a hammer. I hated like heck to pay so much more for the new one specifically for the 360 (tell me again why every other system has wireless built in), sometimes you just got to bite the bullet for the sake of your sanity.
So. Yes. It will work with the 360. If you're lucky. Or maybe not.

Summary: Prepare to throw this out your window... 2009-03-17
Comment: It DOES work for the XBox 360.....when it feels like it. Buggy doesn't even begin to describe it! For some reason, this piece of garbage only fully connects at night...is it a vampire? I don't know.
Drops out of connections ALL THE TIME....and then takes fifteen minutes to reboot...just to DROP OUT AGAIN!!!!
I hate this thing almost as much as my original XBox!
What is WRONG with you,MICROSOFT?!??!?

Comment: It's great and far cheaper than the Xbox wireless version and without utilizing your USB port. It's a must have.
