VoNets Wifi Bridge-->>VAP11G
V.A.P11G WiFi Bridge IEEE 802.11b/g
With this portable device, VoIP Phone Adapters, IP Phones and other IT products with Ethernet RJ45 port can access wireless network easily.
Specification:
1 10/100 base Ethernet cable header;
1 DC-2.0 female power port for power in;
1 DC-2.0 male power port for power out;
Input Voltage: DC5V-15V;
Power Consumption: Less than 1.5W;
Transmission Distance Indoor: 30m
VAP11G provides users a combination of Ethernet network and power cable, VAP11G uses the original power supply of VoIP phone adapter or some other IT products power supply which has DC 2.0 power jack (5-15V, 1.5W). One power supply can power VAP11G, as well as the VoIP phone adapter.
Please use power supply with the polarity as shown below. Power supply with different polarity will damage VAP11G and the devices which the power supply belongs to. Vonets will NOT be responsible for the loss caused by using the incorrect power supply. (Both Power Jack and Power Port are compliable with this polarity)
Alternatively, Vonets can also provide power supply for VAP11G(Optional).
WPA
WPA automatically uses TKIP with dynamic encryption keys. Enter a passphrase on this screen. Encryption - TKIP is automatically selected as the encryption method. Passphrase - Enter a Passphrase, also called a pre-shared key, of 8-63 characters in the Passphrase field. The longer and more complex your Passphrase is, the more secure your network will be. Click Next to proceed, or click Back to return to the previous screen.
WPA2
WPA2 automatically uses AES with dynamic encryption keys (AES is a stronger encryption method than TKIP). Enter a passphrase on this screen. Encryption - AES is automatically selected as the encryption method. Passphrase - Enter a Passphrase, also called a pre-shared key, of 8-63 characters in the Passphrase field. The longer and more complex your Passphrase is, the more secure your network will be.

I purchased this instead of the $99 Microsoft wireless adapter for XBox Live. Silly me!
Bottom line: this adapter is worthless. It successfully functions about 20% of the time (that's a generous 20%) at start up--and routinely fails to maintain a connection whenever XBox Live is being used.
I'm network and hardware-savvy, with an XBox sitting about 30 feet away from my wireless router--just far enough that I don't' want to run an Ethernet cable. Signal strength is great and everything is set up exactly as instructed (although the instructions provided with the Adapter are amazingly incomplete).
After a month of off-and-on troubleshooting, I've given up. I have contacted the seller and manufacturer for either a refund or meaningful technical support. The manufacturer web site is alarmingly void of information or support.
The $99 XBox label adapter is ridiculously overpriced...but this adapter is not worth the plastic it's built...Read more

I purchased this along with the Linksys WMP54G for testing and found that both work fine in providing wireless connectivity. The Vonets one is actually easier to configure since you can plug it directly to you computer via USB to enter the Wireless SSID information etc. Also, the ability to use USB ports for power to the device is also a plus, reducing the wires running to your network devices.
Highly recommended, especially at its cost. Planning on buying more of these for my other network devices. Glad this device came along.
