Summary: The Round 2 is the way to go! 2010-08-15
Comment: Okay people are concerned about the hype about the stick and the fact that its made by Madcatz.
The stick is the best I have ever used , i mean this is what the pros even use at EVO!
I would go with round 2 over the slims thou. They are built alot better and a better bang for you buck (:

Summary: Great joystick, but take caution - it's still Madcatz 2010-05-17
Comment: I'm no joystick expert or tournament-level player, but I bought this stick to replace the barely adequate Xbox controller. The stick was great..... until it just stopped responding after about an hour of play. Specifically, the stick stopped working at all and about 5 of the 8 face buttons would do anything. I restarted the system and it worked again. Another hour and a half in it stopped working. Same problem as before. I had to unplug and plug the controller to get it to work again. I unhooked the detachable end all Xbox controllers have and re-attached it. A little while later it stopped registering the stick - once again requiring me to unplug/plug the controller to get it working again. And THIS is a Tournament stick? Yeah, good luck advancing when the stick decides to strand you paralyzed mid-match.
The joystick itself was incredibly responsive when it worked. The buttons needed only a slight breeze to register a hit. For those of us who have always used a standard home-console controller, it will take a good bit of practice and adjustment to get used to it.
Despite my issues, I went ahead and returned the stick for a replacement. I'm thinking I just got a bad one, but we'll see how that goes. The moral of the story here is despite all of the glowing reviews and authentic parts, it's STILL a Madcatz. I'll be picking up the extended three-year warranty Amazon offers through SquareTrade. $130-$150 is too much to pay for a semi-reliable stick that may or may not last a year before breaking down.

Summary: Best Fightstick 2010-05-06
Comment: Got this for Street Fighter 4 and its definitely worth it! Looks really nice and the quality of the buttons/joystick is superb. Highly recommended

Summary: Super responsive and totally awesome. 2010-04-29
Comment: My buddy has this stick and everyone in my department uses it every now and then. I have a Hori Fightstick EX2 and hate it now that I have used this thing. It is super responsive and the buttons are so easy to push. We mainly play Street Fighter and this thing is perfect for it. This thing is worth every penny. I should be getting my type S tourney stick any day now. It's supposed to be "better" than this one. I guess we'll see.

Summary: Tournament Grade 2010-04-09
Comment: Uses authentic Sanwa parts. (Along with Seimitsu, these parts are the best straight out of Japan.)
The control offered by this particular stick is phenomenal. Granted, I've only recently gotten serious about using one exclusively, I've been around the bloc a few times with these sort of products.
The Sanwa stick is very responsive and follows a square gate restrictor (stick moves around inside a square). When a gate is activated, you'll know as an audible *click* is heard. It may be a bit loud for casual home users, but it's part of the experience, in my opinion. Nothing to gripe about!
The buttons are also extremely sensitive. Contrary to the construction of the stick, these buttons DO NOT click! In a competitive sense, it's logical to reduce the amount of effort required to trigger the button, so no click. This is not to indicate that they are faulty, but fantastically responsive and dutiful in their purpose of translating your most complex inputs.
For stability, the several pounds that it does way are easily justified. To fanatics, input consistency is very important and they don't need their devices flying around because they're feather-light.
Other reviews may be bashing it, but the thought process in this product is quite legitimate, bringing together some revered names in the target audience and collaborating with them. Now, of course, it's a mass produced item, so there are going to be some business choices that not all of us would prefer. However, what you see is what you get and I've found a fantastic product in this.
Oh, it's also easily customizable with a bit of tinkering around. Even the face plate can be swapped out for one of a different design.
