Comment: I bought this for my husband thinking that it was the same as the original rock band guitar with a bass look to it. It turns out that it has some interesting features. The strum bar is split to play faster (it takes some getting used to) and instead of a whammy bar there are nobs. Overall it takes some getting used to but it is a nice change from the traditional Rock Band guitar.

Summary: Awesome, well for the most part 2010-07-11
Comment: I upgraded to this Bass from the standard generic rockband 2 guitar. Size-wise it is AWESOME, I don't feel near as scrunched up as the other made me feel. It plays beautifully for the most part, nice and smooth, and seems more precise. The coloured keys are basically silent which is a nice break from all the clacking that the other one made. The strum bar is sharp and crisp, and even though I'm still getting the hang of the double strum thing it seems pretty good so far. The strum bar seems to pop back really quickly which is nice, but it also has to be pushed a significant bit harder to play to begin with, so this can be hard on your hand/wrist after some of the more taxing songs. The strum bar also clicks VERY loudly. On some songs this can be very annoying (but others where you need to hear your rhythm it's actually pretty helpful). Mine also came out of the box with some small glitches... the round key with the arrows will stick after you push it once and send you randomly shooting here there and everywhere, you have to be very careful with it. Also the red note key sticks weird sometimes, and can be troublesome on hammer notes or when trying to slide to change chords quickly. Those two problems are something I would expect buying a used guitar but not a brand new one. Over drive is a lot harder to get into with this guitar, there have been a few times I have been practically tilting it over almost 180 and it still wouldn't go. It's really not worth trashing your awesome song to try to get into the overdrive. Battery-wise it doesn't seem too bad, it has the lithium batteries in it, and I have been playing it for about 5 days now quite heavily and it still is at full juice.
All in all this is an awesome Bass, I just wish there weren't the little problems.

Summary: Rocking Bass 2010-06-18
Comment: This is a well built guitar and looks fantastic. The having the strum key split took a little getting used to but it has made fake rocking much more fun. Having a whammy knob sucks though. It's almost impossible to use during the game.

Summary: love it!!! 2010-06-06
Comment: I love this bass.I have had none of the problems others have mentioned. It does kinda eat batteries but I would expect it to.On expert level it is the closest to playing a real bass.It is the perfect size. I would purchase a new one if this one goes down.I had the wired one so I got used to the Whammy button. If you want to be the coolest bass player on the block, get it..

Summary: GREAT BASS CONTROLLER ! 2010-04-05
Comment: I bought this bass about 6 months ago,I like to write a review later to give a accurate review.First off i have not had any problem's at all,the fret buttons are very easy to push in,it has double strum bar this is great for playing bass, also make's a good guitar for those wanting a larger guitar.it has a whammy knob which is a little hard at first until you get use to it,after all it is a bass! this guitar is much larger then standard guitar controllers, 6 or 7" longer & at least 3" wider, It's much easier to play for adult's[i'm 6ft.1"] or older kids.If you want a larger guitar controller at less than $90 bucks this is it,take my word..
