Xbox 360 Rock Band Wireless Fender Precision Bass Replica - White
Summary: Yes, there is a communication problem! 2010-02-11
Comment: I bought the red bass replica and started having communications problems between the receiver and guitar within the first hour of play. I was well within 8 feet of the receiver at all times and I kept problems where the whammy bar options page would pop up in the middle of play (even though there is no switch on the guitar, let alone whammy bar) followed by a loss of communication, or just a flat out loss of communication. If you see that type of behavior, just contact the MadCatz support. I recommend just calling them, they're more responsive when called.
Working with the MadCatz support team is the one redeeming part of this experience. They are very professional and they paid for the return shipping. They sent me a new unit within a work week of return.
I've tried to play the new guitar as much as possible since I received it. I did have one more instance of loss of communication in about 4 hours of play (which is better than the previous unit, which would fail within 10 minutes of play 100% of the time). But, otherwise, it's been working well. I like the double strum bar and I'm getting used to "plucking" rather than strumming. I'll continue using it to see if I get more communication errors, in which case I'll probably contact the manufacturer again.
Overall, yes, I like the guitar, but would I recommend it to others? Probably not. Not unless you're comfortable with calling tech support.

Summary: Fast Shipping and looks nice. 2010-02-02
Comment: Actually bought this as a gift for someone else so I can't say a lot except that they are happy with it.

Summary: Fender Precision Bass 2010-01-10
Comment: I found this to be a wonderful addition to our rock band set. It works like it should. I don't feel however, that the overdrive is as sensitive as it should be but it does work. Wether you play bass or regular guitar all of us prefer the fender bass over the original guitar that came with the set. Definately would purchase another if needed.
Comment: This bass replica is awesome! It's way bigger than the older guitars for Rock Band. The double strum bars are really useful and you even have the smaller solo buttons! All in all I recommend this product to anyone who wants a newer and better bass/guitar for Rock Band on the XBOX 360!

Summary: Sad it's backwards 2009-12-26
Comment: We have to return this as it appears to be wired backwards and doesn't want to work 1/2 the time. We've only played it two or three times. This is a replacement for the wired Mad Catz Bass. Hopefully this was a fluke and we don't have further problems with it.
