Summary: Over the top accesory that delivers and then some 2010-07-24
Comment: This Stage Kit is a bit over the top but in a good way. When the fog is really kicking out the lights look incredibly good. If I had to say one negative thing about the unit it would be the amount of fog it puts out. Wow, it puts out much more than you need and will fog out your whole house if you play with it on long at all. I guess I'd rather have it produce too much that not enough and end up being lame.
Bottomline, this is a great addition for a weekend evening of rocking with friends and family. If you can find it on the cheap pick it up. You'll not regret it.

Summary: I can barely see the tv 2010-01-07
Comment: This thing is pretty sweet. The fog was kinda weak with the little jug of rock juice it came with but with American DJ juice it fills our entire 1st floor in 1-2 songs. If we let it go through about 5 songs its so thick we cant see each other and can barely see the tv from 10 feet away(not exactly save levels of fog but whatever). Its a blast and if you kick it off after a song or two a gallon will last a very long time.

Summary: No beatles rockband support 2009-10-22
Comment: I got this stage kit for the beatles rock band... long story short, it does not work with the beatles rock band. It only works with rockband 1 and 2
I hope that this get fixed eventually in the near future

Summary: You need to get this!! 2009-08-14
Comment: This has seriously upped the rock band experience by 100% Sure its hokey and silly but thats part of what playing giant fake plastic instruments in your living room is about right? dont listen to the naysayers, fog and lights sound dumb on paper but put a few drinks back and fog and lights sound like an awesome idea. And they are!!

Summary: Great idea, poor execution 2009-04-26
Comment: Ever since first hearing about the Rock Band stage kit, I wanted one. After seeing it delayed for months, I finally saw it available for sale and bought it. After owning it for 2 months, I'm not sure I still like it.
I agree it's a great idea, however the actual quality of the product leaves a lot to be desired. The most annoying thing for me is the stage kit works as one controller - this means that our vocalist can no longer use a wireless controller. As far as I know, there's no way to make it not be a controller. This wouldn't be that bad, except the cable between the "light module" and the fog machine is very short and comes unplugged easily. I'm going to try and make a longer cable for it, but this isn't something that normal users can/should have to do.
To be honest, the product feels like it was made cheaply and just to get it out the door - not by Rock Band enthusiasts. That said, if you don't play with 4-players, the above issues are likely insignificant.
I paid $80 for it and feel kind of ripped off given the poor build quality. Maybe for $50 or $40 it would be OK, but give serious thought to if it's actually right for you or just a cheap gimmick before buying.
Bottomline, this is a great addition for a weekend evening of rocking with friends and family. If you can find it on the cheap pick it up. You'll not regret it.
