Summary: Pad Warriors Rejoice 2010-06-15
Comment: Please note.. my experience with this pad is solely for Super Street Fighter IV. When I play other games, I still go back to the original 360 control pad.

For fighting games, it is in my opinion superior to any of the other pads I've used (PS3, 360, Mad Catz). The build is very good, very much like the 360 pad. All the buttons and the control pad are really responsive. I like the fact that it has a + control pad rather than a round floating one because I play Guile a lot and charge moves in general are a breeze. This is a personal preference, but I like the smaller buttons (vs Mad Catz) because I have a semi-largish hand and at times have pushed the wrong buttons on accident when using my old Mad Catz. The buttons are closer to size as the 360. For you people who like using analog, it feels looser than the 360, but there is also sensitivity control.

What I don't like... well, mostly the fact that the shoulder buttons appear both on the shoulder and the face. I would have much preferred it to be hardwired similar to the Mad Catz one even if it meant having 2 less buttons. I would rather use the shoulder buttons as the 3x punch/kick, but as it is now.. I'm forced to use the triggers instead. Luckily the triggers don't have as much action as the 360 and PS3 triggers and it will register as a button press sooner than the two. Also a con for me, is the placement of the turbo switches. I personally don't use turbo, so they get in my way. I would have preferred start and back to be placed there instead and the turbo button as far away from sight as possible. I guess one bonus for their placement though.. since they aren't buttons, accidental pressing of start/back/select is rather difficult.

I'm definitely sticking to this pad.. I play on 360 and the 360's control pad sucks for fighting games. I've already had Mad Catz pads break on me.. so I really don't have faith in them. This one is built durable and feels like it will last for quite some time.

Summary: Ok controller, but not great 2010-06-04
Comment: This controller I got suckered in to buying for the Turbo features and here's my opinion after playing for a good number of hours both online and offline:

Positives:
-Sturdy build, doesn't feel totally cheap
-Sorta fair price (although a wired official controller can be found online for the same price, so not really a good deal)
-10 foot cord (still wish it was 12 ft. like Turtle Beach products, I had to use a 6 ft. USB extender just to have enough slack so people wouldn't trip on the cable)
-Turbo feature is the real and only selling point
-D-pad is nicer than the official controller

Negatives: (as a hardcore FPS player)
-Analog sticks feel really watery as far as movement. Much like other 3rd party controllers, sadly. Especially when you move up and down.
-What good is Turbo if you simply can't aim with it? It is a challenge to aim straight with this controller no matter how you have the controller set up. I would say I'm seriously 50% less accurate than with the regular 360 controller with this one.
-Why did they make the face buttons so small and put the LB/RB on the face too so close to the other buttons? Half the time I'd go to press "B" and end up pressing a bumper button.
-Actual bumpers on top: A LOT to be desired. These don't even have a click to them and barely push in! You can't even tell if you really pressed the button! Feels like a piece of a plastic spoon flicking instead of a bumper!
-The face buttons are absolutely flat? It almost feels like they are concave! Feel really weird. Buttons should have been a bit bigger and have more of a round to them!

Average controller, only good for D-pad style Arcade games. Not worth it for FPS's.

Summary: Yes Yes Yes Yes, NOOOOOOO!!! 2010-05-28
Comment: OK first review ever, I bought this awesome controller and it took a while to get used to the layout, and after that was done it was simpler and easier to play CODMW2, but i noticed that it really only worked on MW2, but that wasn't the problem, we'll get to that in a sec. It was awesome to have a Xbox approved and licensed turbo/rapid fire controller and have no penalties in using it, except for the hazing and accusing for using a modded controller.

Now on to the bad.

I had it for about a month and a half and then the wire that the protrudes out of the controller, pretty much severed connectivity to the Xbox, and I believe that the wires were being crossed, because when it did connect I'd press 'B' the start buttons action would happen and when i would press 'START' the guide buttons action would happen.

This review would explain now why the title is, what it is.

Summary: The ultimate controller. 2010-04-24
Comment: This controller has it all. Quality DPAD thats great for fighting & retro games, adjustable sensitivity analog sticks, 6 face buttons, and programmable turbo - plus all the features/buttons of a standard 360 controller. The only gripe I have is that it does not seem as sturdy as the MS 360 controller. That aside, though, functionally it doesn't get any better than this.

Summary: Beware of the ghost...ing! 2010-04-09
Comment: This controller would've been such a winner if it wasn't for the constant ghosting issue. Luckily I bought it straight from Amazon, where they will gladly take it back if it is faulty. I tried black and blue version. The problem on the blue one seems to be worse than the black one. I will still keep it, however, but mainly for offline games, where ghosting will not effect you as much. Getting high combo bonuses in Bayonetta without mashing the buttons was very fun and there are other games where mashing is required and this controller will save your fingers. Another issue is that you have to spend some time getting used to the controller layout. Another negative that you must keep in mind is that it will support a headset, but the chat pad will NOT fit!!!! So forget about typing messages quickly if you have one. While I can live without a chat pad, ghosting is far more annoying. Buy this with caution!
