Summary: Not Worth It 2010-03-08
Comment: This controller is great till it breaks 3 weeks after you buy it. Had this controller less then a month and am already having "ghosting" issues with the left analog stick, which means everytime I try to play COD My aim just goes straight down to as low as it will without me touching anything. It's a shame because while this controller was working I liked it alot, but not enough to buy another one that will expire so soon. Oh and there is also nothing about any kind of warranty anywhere on the box or the manual that comes with it.

Summary: Great! Until the trigger broke 2010-03-08
Comment: We all know the d-pad on the official Xbox 360 controller is crap. But hiding in the shadow of its suckiness is another dirty secret for the console -- trigger buttons.

Let me get this out of the way: I don't like first-person shooters. I don't play first-person shooters. But since Microsoft thinks EVERYONE plays the bleeding things, all licensed controllers for the Xbox 360 have to have these very literal "triggers." I don't know how any FPS fans out could there prefer these big slow fimsy switches to the near instantaneous response time of a face button.

On the PlayStation(s), the R1 and R2 positions are buttons. Simple, durable buttons. But Microsoft's design philosophy has forced peripheral makers to build hardware with all the comfort and ease of use of a child's cap pistol.

So, what does that have to say about this controller? Overall it was excellent for playing Bayonetta, which is a game that is utterly dependent on the right trigger button (you need to mash it almost constantly during gameplay). And due to some more boneheaded design choices, buttons cannot be reassigned in the game.

Less that a month after I got this controller, the right trigger broke.

So thanks, Microsoft, Sega and Hori for your combined crappiness in design.

Summary: Nice controller 2010-02-25
Comment: Good solid construction....does take some getting used to as the layout of the buttons is different. easy to program the turbo button. As a side not the only real downside I can find with the controller is that the buttons are smaller than a oem controllers buttons.

Summary: Easily the best Xbox Controller on The Market 2010-02-24
Comment: To start:

The controller is made out of sturdy plastic. It's about as heavy as a stock 360 controller, which I think is good, since it remains more stable with less grip.

Quality-wise, here we are a month later and it has taken a quite a few significant drops with no damage.

The 6-button layout is ideal IMO for controllers, and I have no clue why the controller setups have regressed to a 4-button layout, since the N64; but, I think the transformation bothered most old-school console gamers. The controller is wired; however, sometimes that's a good thing in competitive gaming. The wireless feature would've been a good addition as an option, nevertheless.

The directional pad is by far the highlight of this controller -- it's crisp and accurate. In fact it's much more accurate than the MadCatz 6-button Street Fighter FightPad (like 31% more accurate on the diagonals). The controller is precise -- perhaps the most precise out of all others I've tried to date, including the PS3's stock DS controller. It should be interesting to see how this measures up against Razer's Controller (when it comes out).

Notes on Testing: I test the controllers precision by going into 'input mode' and repeatedly pressing the same combination of buttons holding the controller at several different commonly-used angles in fighting games (Street Fighter 4, and Tekken 6, namely). Ideally the controller should respond the same way, even when not as much pressure is applied to the second directional button. Similarly, the pressure requirement can't be so sensitive such that 'brushing against' button 2 would trigger an undesired response.

Summary: Must have for COD MW2 players 2010-02-22
Comment: This controller will set you apart in COD MW2. The controller will shoot rapid fire on the trigger button which will save you the time and trouble on a Modded controller with 0 risk. You can unload a pistol faster then you can blink at 20 button presses per second! This is great for all the pistols, the fal, the M16, and the famas as you can just hold the button down for firing.

The only drawback so far is the controller seems to move on it's own sometimes, it is not huge just seems to jump for some reason. I had much more trouble with the blue version then the black version. I own both.

I suggest buying these before the go out of stock due to the fact these are usually hard to find after a while.

Otherwise supper great controller for the price.
