4.0 out of 5 stars Intec Screen Review, February 7, 2007

It's actually a pretty great product. I did find a few things that could have been changed or improved upon. The unit actually clamps on to the XBox 360. It is clamped on good enough you can carry it with the screen like it was a suitcase. The right clamp is a little bit weak of a design. It actually clamps thru the holes on the side of the case of the XBox. Once installed it is secure. I had one little piece of the right clamp break, which I am sure Intec would replace if I would call. It is still rock solid once installed so I will worry about it another day.

Their is hookups on the back for SVGA / S-VIDEO / Composite Video. SVGA being the weakest to Composite Video being the best. Of course the included cable was SVGA. I did plug in my Composite cable that came with the XBox but did not see that much of a difference. Possible Intec sells a Composite Video cable for it, but I doubt it. Maybe even a S-Video, but again. So they sent us the weakest cable, it's not like the...Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars 360 travel LCD screen, July 15, 2007

I purchased the screen for use on a long car trip with the kids. Previously we had good success with the original Xbox and its travel screen. The 360 screen has a beeter screen and speakers than the original verions, but the mounting system was much more fussy and didn't really hold as well. I always felt like I had to be REALLY careful when folding the screen up or dowm. The hooks that lock into the wireless mount points were a pain to attach and releas. I realize that the curvey shape of the 360 presents some challenges for mounting a screen. I was alos disappointed to find out that My car DC/AC inverter was not powerful enough to run the 360 in the car.

The review by Damon is nearly spot on. I just wanted to add and amend a few things. Firstly, the connections are: Composite AV (regular old yellow/red/white AV connectors), S-Video, and Component HD (the RGB + Audio cables used for HD). There is a spare smaller clamp for the right side of the unit. It is NOT meant for Core owners however, as the left clamp fits snugly around the hard drive. Core owners, you've been warned. Pony up for a hard drive if you really want this.

The NICE surprise is that the display is fully capable of 480p (852 x 480 Progressive Scan) Widescreen and there is a nice upgrade in clarity if you use the component cables that came with your XBox 360. Don't try for 720p or 1080i as it will just whitescreen the monitor. The monitor itself only comes with a short and thus convenient Composite AV connector. The picture quality is adequate but 480p does look clearer. Look to the customer photos shot by Damon for reference regarding cable...Read more
