Summary: Best stick evar 2010-05-28
Comment: I work in the gaming industry and attend a lot of fighting game events and tournaments. This is simply the best stick you can buy (rather than make). I plan on replacing the buttons, gate, and artwork anyway, but all those are fantastic right out of the box. It comes with a 4-way gate which is good for charge characters, I think I will switch to an 8-way as it seems more versatile. The buttons are very responsive and fast, don't rest your fingers on them! Turbo works well though I never use it. The lock switch is a nice feature, locks the Xbox, turbo, select and start buttons from being used in the heat of battle. The artwork is nice, right from the game. Overall it has a nice weight and feel to it. And no white side bumpers that to me just looked funny on previous versions. The rubber feet on the bottom are good too and have a good grip. My only complaint may be the wire compartment. It's very nice that they've included this luxury to store the 13' cord inside the stick, the compartment is barely big enough and the door to the compartment is flimsy; usually bursting at the seams. It hasn't failed yet though so I suppose it's ok. Great stick, real arcade feel, try a top scrolling shoot'em up for extra fun!

Summary: Don't Bother If You're Already Fine With a Gamepad 2010-05-24
Comment: I found this stick to be high quality and all, and it semi-helped me improve playing with charge characters.

Overall, however, it's just unnecessarily difficult to use. It slowed me down a lot and made pulling off most moves painful. It turned Street Fighter into what I like to call a "Pray to Play" game, in that after you input the correct sequence of buttons/stick movements, you have to pray that your character actually does the special move. No rhyme or reason to it.

It the stick overall just slowed me down and made me a worse player. Probably going to sell it as I was doing fantastic with the standard 360 gamepad.

If you like arcade sticks this is pretty well built, but if you're contemplating switching from gamepad to this - don't bother. You'll regret it. You'll end up going right back down to how terrible you were when you first picked up the game, in a sea of people who didn't needlessly handicap themselves.

Summary: The "must have" arcade stick 2010-05-24
Comment: This stick is great! My previous stick was a Hori Fight Stick EX2. That stick was about a third of the price of this stick, but the Mad Catz TE stick type S is a million times better. The stick's buttons are very responsive and easy to push. The spring in the joystick is less stiff compared to the Hori stick. At first it seems difficult to get moves out, but after about 15 minutes of playing with the joystick you'll get it. The price of this stick was pretty expensive, but I have no regrets in spending the cash for it. You definitely get what you pay for. I wouldn't use any other stick!

Summary: Still not sure 2010-05-19
Comment: I am not going to lie, I truly do like this stick a lot, but I just have one problem. The inside of the joystick feels like an octagon, almost like a stop sign. Now that does help me to use charged characters like Vega(claw) or Guile, it really does not help out with characters like Ryu or Ibuki. So for that reason I do not care for this arcade stick. But when it comes to quality this is the most amazing thing of all time. Especially the buttons, those are just so sensitive and also very heavy duty, and could easily take a lot of punishment wich is a good thing. So I am still ubdecicded about this arcade stick, unfortunately. :(

Comment: The buttons are huge. Have fun trying to be quick with this thing - not happening.
