This is one of several options if you have a black console among black AV components. It's glossy finish isn't the best match for the new S-model. It's nice to have the option to charge batteries without the contoller in the station -- if you only have the original controller, you will have an extra battery if you buy this and you can charge it separately. The batteries last at least as long as those that came with my Nyko dual charger that I have paired with my original 20GB (RRD replacement) 360. It's fine to have the option of both horizontal and vertical use, but the base is so light that you have to hold it to get a controller mounted fully for charging. Although I doubt I would buy this again, I still give it four stars for the value of good batteries, the options for flat or stacked use, the ability to charge batteries outside the controller, and reasonable (tho' not perfect) aesthetics. Both batteries were defective upon receiving and would not stop charging. I noticed a burning smell and turns out the batteries had scorched my brand new controllers. No word from memorex on replacing them. This product is dangerous! Stay far away.

Easy to use charger station. Nothing bad to be said about it. Stands kinda tall but not bad at all. The battery packs built in last for hours. Much cheaper then other versions of this same thing. Just as high in quality though.
