Very strong and has a separate power supply so it will not mess up your 360 and will not void the warranty.
A bit loud but it's worth it.

Amazon is not selling the one pictured. Apparently Intec produces a self powered one and an Xbox powered one (powered by Xbox PS). It appears that most published posts do not recommend the coolers powered by the Xbox's PS only self powered ones. I have no idea what Intec is doing but they use the exact same model number which is G8648 and market 2 different units with the same number, my friend has the same number but it is self powered? The unit I just received is clearly marked 2008 on the box, my opinion is to stay away from anything using the Xbox's power and be careful when getting this one since you will not know what you are getting until you open the box. I am upset with Amazon's description and picture. I think it makes sense to have a cooler that is self powered and leave the power to the Xbox 360 alone. For clarification, I know what a NYKO is and this is NOT a NYKO it is an Intec with part number G8648 an does NOT have its own power supply it is clearly using the Xbox 360...Read more

The fans were loud from the beginning. So I did what any gamer would and turned the TV volume up. I purchased the item about a month ago and two days ago during initial turn on the cooler started to make a humming... almost grinding noise that would eventually stop. I had this happen on a cooling unit before and I promptly took it apart. I know it means there is friction occurring ( lack of lubrication )where the fan meets the motor. I just feel all these cooling products are made poorly. I would gladly pay $60.00 for a product I didn't have to replace every couple of months. Granted it did cool the unit. Maybe I just got another lemon! You decide.
