HD AV Component Cable

Got this cable to hook an Xbox 360 up to a secondary TV using Component input. I hooked it up and went into the console settings to change it to something higher than 480p. The Xbox 360 thinks this cable is switched into standard definition mode and it says I need to flip the switch to "HD". I'm familiar with this from my Primary Xbox 360 hooked up in my living room - it has a component cable that came with the console. This cable DOES NOT HAVE A SWITCH ON IT ANYWHERE. There isn't an instruction manual in the product's packaging, but it has this printed on the back side of the packaging: "...This six foot cable is also compatible for the conventional composite connections found on standard TV's, simply push the switch at the end of the cable and go from HDTV to standard TV." There is NO SWITCH at the end of the cable! I've looked at it several times and I know I can't be missing it! This cable is useless to me. Time for a return, I guess.
