I look at computer screens a few hours every day. I bought this Gunnar product hoping it may help relieve eye stress. It claims that it uses several techniques to "shift" spectrum. As far as I know (I'm a senior PhD student in optics), there is no such thing that can "shift" spectrum. All it does is to filter out the blue part of the spectrum by wavelength-selective reflective coating(s), that's why you see the reflecting light is in blue. Well, although I agree that our eyes are more comfortable watching at green instead of blue. I found it's unnecessary to use these glasses, instead I just tune my monitor's color property to diminish the blue component. Other than filtering blue light the glasses have some view shift (the images are shifted horizontally towards the middle, about 5 degrees) but there is no magnification, with two eyes visually the object will appear closer (similar to 3D movie). In the event you don't want to read my issues with this terrible product I will give you the highlights. The quality of this is horrible. They began to fall apart when the Amazon warranty expired. 9 or so months with the product that the lenses are cracking and breaking apart, most of which have been done when they weren't in use! If you spend this kind of money on glasses, which our eyes are worth, you expect to get something that you could use a year later, 6 months later, or a couple of months later. You will not get that with this product!

If I could give this a worse ranking I would. From the still little reviews I am hoping nobody is as foolish as I was for buying this product. I bought these about 9 months ago and am so completely disgusted at them I want to get rid of them, however I am keep a hold on them as proof to what a horrible product this is. The concept is great.
