Works Well, but Not Really Cost-Effective,

The Guitar Hero Recharge Battery Pack Kit offers an alternate solution for powering your wireless GHIII controller.
The kit consists of a proprietary battery pack (i.e., you can't use it in anything else) and a charger. Both items are very compact - barely bigger than a Zippo lighter. The charger connects to your Xbox via any USB port. I was surprised how quickly it fully recharges a battery pack - from totally dead to totally fresh in about two hours - since it doesn't plug directly into the wall. Also, your Xbox does NOT have to be powered on to charge the battery pack. A fully-charged battery gives you about 10 - 12 hours of play.

I paid 19.99 for the Les Paul wireless controller in the first place and it came with batteries. I could just buy a new controller and sell the other one for $2 and I would be ahead. The regular batteries last so long, and you don't need to buy the real expensive batteries to run the controller, not sure you would ever pay for this.

Works great in my Guitar Hero wireless guitar. Just hook it up to my PC USB port (or the XBOX 360 port) and wait for the light to turn green. Seems to run for at least a couple of weekends playing. Takes about 4 hours to charge from completely run down. Good product.
