Work as intended: Purchased this item to use a PS3 controller on the 360 for fighting games. Only had it for couple days but so far it works perfectly, being able to pull off combos/specials just as well as on the PS3. Only purchased it for that purpose, so I can't say anything about the rapidfire or remapping functions, beside the fact that it's nice to have.
Now to my surprise, this also works on my PC (win7 64bit). I plugged the crossfire into my PC, then the 360 controller onto it. My PC promptly installed the 360 controller driver, once that was done I switched the 360 controller for my PS3 and voila, it worked! I was very delighted about that, since I hadn't found a simple way to play your PC using a PS3 controller.
EDIT:: To my chagrin, I just found out the hard way that this is not guarantee to work with unofficial PS3 controllers. This include Madcatz product, meaning that the PS3 Arcade Fightstick TE WILL NOT WORK with XCM Crossfire. So if you...Read more

I'm upgrading from the orignal XCM Crossfire Converter to this version 2.
EVERYTHING that bugged me about the original Crossfire Converter is fixed in this new version.
Before, in order to use my PS3 controller, I had to power on the XBox 360, plug in my wired 360 controller, wait for it to be recognized, unplug it and finally plug in my PS3 controller. I NO LONGER NEED TO DO ANY OF THIS WITH VERSION 2! Version 2 has 2 USB ports on it now! You can leave your 360 controller plugged in AND your PS3 controller plugged in all the time. Now, when I start up my 360, it recognizes the 360 controller first and the PS3 controller second (without any plugging or unplugging anything). By the time I get to the dashboard, the PS3 controller is ready to use.
The other thing they fixed on it is the re-programmable buttons. I don't care for using the triggers for shooting and aiming, so to be able to remap those buttons to the L1 and R1 buttons is really nice. It...Read more

Perfect Device, if you prefer the PS3 Controller, which I do,

first off,
-this device is for the Xbox 360 (fat or slim)
-uses PS3 controller on the Xbox 360
-i couldn't find a ps3 controller style (2 analog sticks at the bottom), i can't get used to the xbox controllers and D pads are horrible and big.
i owned the original Cross fire and now the 2.0, major upgrade, but you'll end up with a bunch of wires on the floor while playing.
-the first one didn't allow you to remap buttons, this one does
-allows a wired headset support, via the wired controller port
remapping wasn't too difficult, but i got it in a few minutes, just read the instructions once.
1. push P button on cross fire (p button light turns on steady)
2. press r1
3. press r2 (p button flashes)
4. press P button on cross fire (p button turns off)
now you have set r1 on r2
5. push P button on cross fire (p button light turns on steady)
6. press r2
7. press r1 (p button flashes)
8. press P...Read more
