Crystal clear - amazing little Jewell for your hearing pleasure. Tired of turning up your fancy headset only to wonder where the "ommph" is? Its waiting in this little device.
Pros -
Light weight
Amazing clarity
Cool looking
A lot of cords and nice packaging
Cons -
Well not "strictly" related to the product.
Shipping. Its really silly that I payed 36.00 for 2day FedEx from Union City Ca to San Francisco Ca when overnight costs less (its like 22 miles).
Astro, handling your items for sale is part of selling but that does not mean to inflate costs to that extreme.

The product is really great when it actually works. The model I received is defective as sound is much louder on one side of my headphones compared to the other, when Dolby digital is on. This issue really makes everything a pain. I can't even listen to music with my mixamp because the experience is so unpleasing.
To top things, Astro customer service is horrible. First of all, they don't have a phone line for you to call them concerning technical issues. Also, I told them my product was defective so they told me to ship it to them for inspection. Few days later I receive an email saying my product had been REPLACED and was being shipped back to me.
When I received the mixamp, I realized it was the EXACT SAME one I had sent them, and it had the same problems. I responded to them saying they had sent me the same mixamp and astro replied 1 week later by saying they had sent me the "replacement" email by accident and that they were unable to find any problems with...Read more

It appears that Astro products can only be purchased through Astro Gaming either directly on the Astro website, here on Amazon, on EBAY and likely elsewhere. In all cases, Astro is the seller.
I bought this for my gaming-addicted teenage son, because hardcore gaming presents challenges to the gamer and their family.
My son plays first-person shooter games on XBOX 360. The best way to enjoy this type of game is to play "live" with your friends online. To be competitive in your gaming, you need to be able to hear the game sound, the voices or your friends (a/k/a game chat) and to also be able to talk to your friends.
When you purchase an XBOX 360 it comes with an included headset. This included headset allows you to have two-way communication with your team mates during an XBOX live session.
