I have an older model plasma TV and the HDMI port no longer functions. I found this cable (HDMI to DVI) and decided to try it out. Becuase of it's price I didn't expect much. The HD quality is great. I'm really happy I purchased this - I don't feel as though I have to go out and buy a new TV. If you are using all your HDMI ports and/or your HDMI ports stopped working this is a great alternative IF YOU HAVE A DVI imput on your TV. Chances are you'll only have one if you have and older model Plasma/LCD tv.
